Merrymeeting Landscapes, named after the beautiful Merrymeeting Bay in Maine, holds true to its namesake. While the bay is a wonderful example of nature holding robust amounts of life in balance and rhythm, it is also, historically, a meeting place where people of many cultures came to engage in trade and merriment. Our business seeks to do the same and uphold the symbiotic dance that is human and nature. We feel that an entirely different experience is created when a garden is full of richly diverse native plantings, and the land is allowed to restore itself through balance and thriving ecosystems.
Our mission at Merrymeeting Landscapes is to help you feel more connected to the natural areas that you observe every day from your home or business. We specialize in native plantings which can take shape in a variety of ways; from a more formal garden design to a space that has been thoughtfully rewilded. Additionally, our staff are skilled in creating medicinal gardens, vegetable/herb gardens, cut-flower gardens, designing spaces for orchards and utilizing food forest techniques.
